Prepare for your Victory

November 9th, 2017

Today, put your best foot forward. It doesn’t matter how you feel, if you’re tired or even sick… take these steps:

1. Be thankful, and give God praise and glory
2. Speak life and healing to yourself.
3. Act like you’re whole, Act like you care!

If Jesus was house guest, (and HE always is) make HIM welcome. Put your best foot forward. In HIM you win!

I was told years ago to always present yourself as an ambassador for HIM. So, whenever I get up and prepare to leave my home, I start my day out as if I were going to meet someone special. You know you’ll  only get to make 1 first impression, so make the best one possible.  Of course there are days when you just feel like bumming out, I think we all have those, but even those of my own household don’t wanna see me looking ‘tacky’ or like I don’t even care everyday.  So I try to do better everyday.

It’s Possible!

November 3rd, 2017

You can change, ‘if’ you want to change. Don’t continue to allow this world’s force to dictate your day to day life.

It’s necessary that we learn the power of our words. Speak life!Speak joy!Speak peace! Begin to speak the plan of God over yourself daily.

Guard your heart. Guard your words. Live a Victorious Life! It’s up to you.

One of ‘Those Days’

November 3rd, 2017

Wow… just gotta take a break and pull it together.  Some days just start off like that, I guess… Well, one thing I have to remind myself of today, that God is on the Throne of my life. I can rest and know that things are gonna work out just fine.  I remind myself that God is faithful to me.  I just decided to call it an ‘early day’ at least for a bit.  So, now I’m home and listening to some worship music and watching some great teaching videos.

I’m praying for our nation, our churches, leadership in general.  I also pray for families to be strengthened.

Be blessed,

Pastor Lovie

Thoughts… Warning

September 25th, 2017

MATTHEW 7:13 (AMP)

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it.”

Oh my, this morning so many thoughts are going through my mind concerning the church.   If we take the time to focus on the things of God and the Word of God, we will be careful about the  things that we associate with in this world. We cannot side with The Lord, and side with the world.  There must be a distinguishable line.

I read this passage over and over, and I think ‘how broad’ we are painting this line for the church to walk.  We keep adding ‘reasons’ to disagree with the people of God.  We use situations of this old world to guard our lives… giving excuses for acting ‘out’ of line with the Word of God.  We say we walk in love and yet we continue to sow discord in the church, in the nation.  It’s a shame. We seem to be picking battles, choosing our ‘own’ fights.  Yet we are not fighting the good fight of faith.

Maybe I’m shallow, maybe I’m wrong. But, I am very careful in the battles that I will fight. I am very guarded on the weapons of my warfare. I will not be moved by the things that I see or hear. I will rest in the care of My Father. I will stand boldly and declare His Love.  The church is divided by denominational walls. But the more we take up the fight against ‘issues’ of today, we lose our ability to stand and represent Him to a lost and hurting world.   People are looking at us… they are expecting us to stand and to say what the Word says.  We seem to be defending the ‘world’ more than The Word.  I am speaking for/to myself, yet I speak to the ‘church’… Be Careful!  Guard your heart!   Be alert, this world is watching us and we must not lead them to a ditch.

God is my witness, He is my Source.  I wanna be more like Jesus. I want to follow in His footsteps.

Stop Warring in the Flesh

September 22nd, 2017

2 Corinthians 10: 3  “For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man. 4  The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses ” (AMP)

My heart aches for the ‘church’ today.  In times of upheaval and turmoil, we have turned to the world’s way of dealing with current issues. We have put on the’thinking’cap’ of this generation. We seem to have forgotten who we are, we’ve stood idly by and let the enemy infiltrate our camp. We are, and have been, entangling ourselves with the world’s way of thinking and acting.  (We are ‘in’ this ol’ world, yet we are not to be ‘of’ this ol’ world)

There is way too much division, and it’s crossed over in to the church. We march, we scream, we demand… but, we are not fighting the fight of faith. We somehow think that we must compromise the message of the gospel in order to reach the hurting.  We can NOT help them when we don’t present the message of The Lord.  We cannot share God’s Love when we argue and fight each other. We don’t represent The Father when we paint the road broader to include everybody.  I’m concerned… concerned that holiness, righteousness, and God’s power is not what we are teaching/living.

There’s a song, “People Need The Lord”.  Each time I hear it, each time I sing it, I am reminded that it’s not about ‘me’, it’s about Jesus. Folks, they pass us everyday… in the store, on our job, at school… hurting people everywhere. We may be the only ‘bible’ that many will read. I don’t think that they need us to stand and divide them with our bitterness and anger. The Love of God compels us to reach them with His Message.

Let our lives reflect Jesus!  Let our words present Jesus!

Psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my [firm, immovable] rock and my Redeemer.”
Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.  31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
I pray these scriptures daily,
My sole desire, My soul’s desire,
