Praying Brings Me Great Peace

Friday, June 16th, 2017

I am deeply troubled by the division in our nation… yes, even the division in our churches.

The hatred, the name calling, the smearing of authority is getting ridiculous. I get it that some don’t like authority and consider themselves to be judge and jury, but I think it’s getting way out of hand.  To allow these things to take over in the church is NOT good. I think, in fact I know, God is not pleased. So to the Church I say, go back and seek God’s Word and then step forward as a good soldier. We may not agree with everything, but it is our responsibility to agree and to act on the Word of God.

When I say ‘these things are not good’ perhaps I can expound…
The church is taking to the social media and proclaiming hatred toward our President, our nation, church leadership, even our law enforcement. Again, we may not agree with everything said and done, but we must learn to guard our heart and our words.  Recent events seem to stir up strife and bitterness. If we continually allow this to enter into the church, we do a great disservice to our Heavenly Father. His instruction is quite clear that ‘we’ must turn to Him, and that we must learn to pray according to His Word. If we join with the world’s attitude we cannot expect the blessing, the peace of God in our lives. I for one want to experience God’s best. He tells us that blessing and cursing cannot/shouldn’t come from the same fountain. Don’t expect God’s Best when you continue to dish out words contrary to His commands.

II Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

II Timothy 2:1-6
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Let us all return to the things of God.
*That without the love of God there is no power in prayer.
*Without faith in God’s ability to handle the current situation, we cannot pray effectively.
*Faith worketh by love…
Church, don’t limit your prayer life.

God Keeps Fighting For Us

Monday, September 19th, 2016

Just spent a little time in prayer, thanking God for His Goodness to me and to my crew.

He keeps watching out for us, even when we don’t do such a good job for ourselves. I keep thinking about the many times that He has stepped in and saved my ‘bacon’. I’m sure if you take a moment you will agree…

I could never praise Him enough. Somehow, He ALWAYS comes through. Here are some things that I’m learning:
Trust God with all your heart
Take Him at His Word, He’s on your side
Keep Dreaming
Keep Believing
Never, ever draw back
Surround yourself with folks who intend on going forward with God.

Foremost folk, ALL my help comes from The Father above. So, if you need healing or deliverance go directly to HIM.
GOD IS….
•My Protector
•My Healer
•My Saviour
•My Redeemer
•My EVERYTHING.

DON’T limit God.
He knows what you need, and even what you desire. He desires to bless you. Get in line for your blessing today. Position yourself to receive.

Wow…. Worship Him

Monday, August 22nd, 2016

Your most profound and intimate experiences of worship will likely be in your darkest days— when your heart is broken, when you feel abandoned, when you’re out of options, when the pain is great, and you turn to God alone.” – RICK WARREN

Wow, I can only say “wow! ”
There are days when, in prayer, I can only moan, but God knows. There are times when there are no words, but God understands. He’s seen my tears. He’s heard my cries.

Lord, I’m so grateful. I sing to Him because I’m happy and blessed. Because, through every trial, through every test, He holds me with an everlasting love, and tells me “TRUST ME”, “KEEP BELIEVING”.

Right now, child of God, lean in a little closer. Trust me, HE is there for you. He knows your struggle, He knows your pain and frustration. BUT GOD…
the GREAT ‘I AM’, your ‘EVERLASTING FATHER’ is fighting for you. HE loves you.

Cast all you care on Him, He cares for you!
He will perfect all that concerns you. Just ask The Saviour to help you, to comfort, strengthen, and keep you. HE WILL!
•Turn to Him.
•Run to Him.
•Seek Him.

Searching for Answers

Friday, June 3rd, 2016

Sometimes, as a pastor, as a parent, I sit and pray. I think of others who are hurting, who are lost, who need an answer. I’m searching for answers, praying for peace of mind.

Why is it so hard to ask for help, or even harder to accept help?

I guess I may never understand, but my solution is to go to God in prayer. When someone you love hurts, you hurt.

A. S. K. n’  RECEIVE

So here today, I’m asking God for divine intervention.  I’m asking God for a miracle. Only JESUS, He is our answer.  And I know one thing: God can turn it around.  Nothing is too hard for my God.
