Why Question God’s Faithfulness?

Monday, March 20th, 2017

Mark 8: Jesus knew what they were discussing and said, “Why are you talking about the fact that you don’t have any bread? Don’t you grasp what has happened? Don’t you understand? Are your hearts so resistant to what God is doing? 18 Don’t you have eyes? Why can’t you see? Don’t you have ears? Why can’t you hear? Don’t you remember? 19 When I broke five loaves of bread for those five thousand people, how many baskets full of leftovers did you gather?” They answered, “Twelve.” 20“And when I broke seven loaves of bread for those four thousand people, how many baskets full of leftovers did you gather?” They answered, “Seven.”

How many times have you questioned….

  • Will He provide?  When will He do it for me?  How is it gonna happen?”

Years ago, we had just purchased our home, and we had 2 young children.  Along with the news that we were expecting our 3rd child, we learned the plant was soon to close.  He searched for jobs, it took a while, but eventually he got a job in Oklahoma. Praise the Lord…
I can assure you that there were many nights I sat at my kitchen table trying to figure out how the bills were going to get paid. I used pencil and paper, (notebook after notebook) calculators,  and yet they never seemed to add up.  I was always short. Here’s my story:

We were faithful church goers and tithers.  And although there were times I just ‘didn’t know’ how or when, still I trusted God. I knew He’d make a way. (I learned that I could cook on a nickel if I had to) But with three children there were times…. times that I questioned.  At one point I was fasting and praying and doing all I knew to do. He worked 3rd shift a lot, and so midnight became my prayer and study time. I knew we could make it as long as we trusted God with everything.  I was building my faith. I was building our home and filling it with The Word of God and His Love.
And then, suddenly, my eyes were opened and fixed on a scripture… I found it would take me through the hard times, and in to the good times. I took these verses, they were my bread and my water. These words sustained me. Whenever I felt weak, I would go over and over these verses, meditating on the Goodness and the Faithfulness of my Heavenly Father. Yes, these Words became Life to me.

Psalms 37:
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.  Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

So, if you’re struggling today, there is an answer. Take the time, build your faith, build yourself in prayer.
Listen, at the foot of the cross, on the basis of His Blood, and His Love for me, I’ve  learned to trust in Him for everything.

God Keeps Fighting For Us

Monday, September 19th, 2016

Just spent a little time in prayer, thanking God for His Goodness to me and to my crew.

He keeps watching out for us, even when we don’t do such a good job for ourselves. I keep thinking about the many times that He has stepped in and saved my ‘bacon’. I’m sure if you take a moment you will agree…

I could never praise Him enough. Somehow, He ALWAYS comes through. Here are some things that I’m learning:
Trust God with all your heart
Take Him at His Word, He’s on your side
Keep Dreaming
Keep Believing
Never, ever draw back
Surround yourself with folks who intend on going forward with God.

Foremost folk, ALL my help comes from The Father above. So, if you need healing or deliverance go directly to HIM.
GOD IS….
•My Protector
•My Healer
•My Saviour
•My Redeemer
•My EVERYTHING.

DON’T limit God.
He knows what you need, and even what you desire. He desires to bless you. Get in line for your blessing today. Position yourself to receive.

Thoughts on Time

TIME

Well, it sure seems that time is moving rather fast. Summer has come and gone… New adventures are beginning for many, there may be challenges looming ahead, but with the help of Almighty God we can make it.

I’m not in this walk (this journey) alone. HE said that He would never leave me or forsake me. So I’m determined to do my part, which is to walk in obedience and in love.

We’ve been learning about God reordering out lives… how to bring forth a greater harvest. Bearing and cultivating the precious FRUIT of The Spirit. Folks, this is our year.  Read Galatians 5:22.  But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Galatians 5:22 NLT

“This world is not my home, I’m only passing through…” My citizenship is in Heaven. My heart holds firmly to Him.

**Stay focused, and don’t be distracted by the foolishness of this world. Keep your eyes on The Prize.

Build It Up!

Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016

It is important to BUILD your house, your family, your relationships. Build it (them) by giving The Word of God first place.

It takes time and commitment to win the fight.  We run to win, and we only win IN HIM.

Base your dreams, your heart’s desire, on God’s Word.

Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:and by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. . .
