Praying Brings Me Great Peace

Friday, June 16th, 2017

I am deeply troubled by the division in our nation… yes, even the division in our churches.

The hatred, the name calling, the smearing of authority is getting ridiculous. I get it that some don’t like authority and consider themselves to be judge and jury, but I think it’s getting way out of hand.  To allow these things to take over in the church is NOT good. I think, in fact I know, God is not pleased. So to the Church I say, go back and seek God’s Word and then step forward as a good soldier. We may not agree with everything, but it is our responsibility to agree and to act on the Word of God.

When I say ‘these things are not good’ perhaps I can expound…
The church is taking to the social media and proclaiming hatred toward our President, our nation, church leadership, even our law enforcement. Again, we may not agree with everything said and done, but we must learn to guard our heart and our words.  Recent events seem to stir up strife and bitterness. If we continually allow this to enter into the church, we do a great disservice to our Heavenly Father. His instruction is quite clear that ‘we’ must turn to Him, and that we must learn to pray according to His Word. If we join with the world’s attitude we cannot expect the blessing, the peace of God in our lives. I for one want to experience God’s best. He tells us that blessing and cursing cannot/shouldn’t come from the same fountain. Don’t expect God’s Best when you continue to dish out words contrary to His commands.

II Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

II Timothy 2:1-6
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Let us all return to the things of God.
*That without the love of God there is no power in prayer.
*Without faith in God’s ability to handle the current situation, we cannot pray effectively.
*Faith worketh by love…
Church, don’t limit your prayer life.

So Grateful

Friday, May 26th, 2017

Just sitting here, lost in thought regarding those who have fought for our country, and those who have fought for the Kingdom of God.  Soldiers of war, naturally and spiritually.I’m wondering what they would say with the state of the church.

The church should be setting the pace for the things of this world. And yet, we seem to have been getting caught up with this old world’s way of thinking and acting. Our words and our actions should be lining up with God’s Word.  He’s not changing according to our ‘times’ and our emotions. His Word is sure, and is from everlasting to everlasting.

I’m challenged to pray for our nation, our leaders, our spiritual leaders.  God’s Word is still our instruction manual.  His Word is still true, and the basis for our everyday living. I cannot and shall not be ‘moved’.

Heart to Heart

Thursday, February 16th, 2017

Perhaps it would be best to NOT rely on the Newspaper or MSM for correct information. (fb incl.)
i.e…”Some trust in chariots…etc.
My trust is in The Lord!

That being said. My prayer is for our nation, our President and this administration. I add, for our Pastors and spiritual leadership.

I was just thinking… as a pastor, if a person leaves and goes to another church, it is not correct for us to go meddle in the affairs of that church. (i.e. Don’t step in another pastor’s pulpit without being invited by that pastor.)
The news media continues to ‘remind’ people of what ‘used to be’. The media is causing division and strife and the church seems to be buying in. I’m reminded of the children of Israel with Moses, remembering Egypt fondly when the hard times came (the leeks and the onions).
To the church today…set yourself to move forward. Pray, and seek the face and heart of God. It’s really up to you. Folks, I choose to follow after God’s Word and pray for our President, our nation’s leaders, our pastors and churches.

We need #wisdom.

I Stand

Saturday, September 24th, 2016

I stand #amazed…
Thinking on the Goodness of God,
His Mercy and His Grace.
I can only imagine how things will be,
as the Church stands and takes it’s rightful place.
No longer cowering in fear, agreeing with the ‘world’s’ view… but to begin to look and see others as God says we should do.

I can NOT jump on the band wagon of hate…sealing the fate of many. I refuse to follow the trend. I believe that God desire that we rise above it all. How?
•By keeping His Word at the center of our heart and on our lips.
•By walking in love.
•By respecting life.. authority..
•By walking in INTEGRITY.
•By representing Him daily.

CHURCH….GUARD YOUR HEART!
Be very careful about allowing yourselves to be drawn into battle with the flesh. Learn to quiet yourselves in prayer (calming your spirit) as we prepare for the battle of our lives)
Know this:
•This battle is real.
•The enemy is real.

But, focus on this:
“OUR GOD is greater than all!”
So I’m not gonna worry, not gonna live my life in fear. We are in the ARMY OF GOD. HE goes before us daily. I’m following His Lead. I will not fear… I will not flinch… Our God is able, He will protect us. As we step out according to His Word and Instruction, He will perform it for us. He is Faithful!

We must honor His Word in our heart and not sin against it. No sloppy, slothful life will secure our protection. Every idle word spoken will be recorded… and you will be held accountable.
•GUARD your mouth.
•GUARD your heart.
•GUARD your actions.
The key is “you”. You’re responsible, the blame stops with YOU!

I’m praying…
“Lord, keep me in the correct lane. Keep me in the center of Your Will. Purify my heart. Lead me daily. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart be pleasing unto THEE.”

Onward, Upward, and Higher

No More Struggle

Tuesday, July 26th, 2016

Father God, in The Name of Jesus, I declare,
NO MORE STRUGGLE!
We are led by the PEACE of God.
We are listening for His Voice.
We are leaning in for His Wisdom.
We are “doers” of The Word….
We Hear and Obey!

Simply put, we must trust in God.
Trusting:
GOD WILL PROVIDE
He supplies our every need.
HE IS OUR HEALER
He sent His Word to heal us.
HE IS OUR SAVIOUR
He sent His Son that we might be saved.
HE IS OUR DELIVERER
He hears our cries, and delivers us from the pit of destruction.

What a MIGHTY GOD we serve.

Don’t limit God, He has called us to move “Onward, Upward, and Higher”

Church family, we must daily:
Pray for one another. Walk in love. Speak words of encouragement. Lift your brothers and sisters up.
