Heart to Heart

Thursday, February 16th, 2017

Perhaps it would be best to NOT rely on the Newspaper or MSM for correct information. (fb incl.)
i.e…”Some trust in chariots…etc.
My trust is in The Lord!

That being said. My prayer is for our nation, our President and this administration. I add, for our Pastors and spiritual leadership.

I was just thinking… as a pastor, if a person leaves and goes to another church, it is not correct for us to go meddle in the affairs of that church. (i.e. Don’t step in another pastor’s pulpit without being invited by that pastor.)
The news media continues to ‘remind’ people of what ‘used to be’. The media is causing division and strife and the church seems to be buying in. I’m reminded of the children of Israel with Moses, remembering Egypt fondly when the hard times came (the leeks and the onions).
To the church today…set yourself to move forward. Pray, and seek the face and heart of God. It’s really up to you. Folks, I choose to follow after God’s Word and pray for our President, our nation’s leaders, our pastors and churches.

We need #wisdom.

I Dream… I Hope… I Believe

Today, I set my attention on the Word and the Promises of God for me, and for my family.

Philippians 4: 8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. 19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.  NLT

So, here’s the deal… the real deal…

I must fix my attentions on the Word of God. I resist the opportunity to jump on the band wagon of negativity that is surrounding our country today…it has infiltrated the Church, and it has gone on long enough. I am humbly reminded daily that my God will take care of me.  He will take care of you, if you will surrender to His Plan for your life. We each have a part to play, we must learn our roles and endeavor to fulfill the Call of God, and the direction in which He has appointed you. Learning to run our race, and determining to run to win!

The question was asked of us in service this week…. “Will you go on for God?”  If your answer is ‘yes’, then you must:

  • Set your heart like flint
  • Push forward in prayer,
  • Guard your heart, guard your lips
  • Prepare and believe God for the best
  • Search for wisdom, and hold tight to her
  • Walk in love

This is the time for ‘true worshipers’ to step forward and be bold.  This world does not define me, the Word of God does.
He’s done so much for me, I can not tell it all. But, I know this, He has never failed me and He never will. It’s me O Lord, standing in the need of prayer.

I encourage you to pray for:

  • Our Nation
  • Our President and the current administration
  • Our Pastors &  Leaders & Missionaries
  • Our Churches
  • Our Families & Friends

Living In Victory

Wednesday, February 8th, 2017

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.      Hebrews 4:12 NLT

I’m thinking on this scripture… as I consider all that is going on in our nation, yes even in our churches…

How is your soul today?  Can you say, “it is well with my soul”?

Division, confusion, hatred, bitterness, nor jealousy is an acceptable attitude for the Christian.

It is so important to guard your heart right now, to watch what you say. You cannot spew hatred and venom and expect the blessing of God.

As we enter into a new season we must remember to pray.

  • Pray for our President and our nation’s leaders.
  • Pray for our Pastors.
  • Pray for our churches.

Pray for wisdom, pray for divine intervention.. Pray for safety.  Pray for each other.

Don’t be out of order.  Stay in line with God’s Word. Walk in love.

Be an instrument of peace,  an ambassador of Jesus Christ.  We can not conform to this world’s way of  thinking and acting… GUARD YOUR HEART!
